The Big Show.

I went to the Mart in downtown for the big January show. These are some of my favorite items in 225 Unlimited. I was so impressed by so many lines but I can't possibly write about them all.
1. MagTagz- My girl Anita has a line of necklaces that have interchangeable faces by way of a magnet. Great for young girls, football teams, cheerleading squads..etc.
2. Servants Heart- a great line of Polka Dotted stuff that includes Greek (sororities) frames and shirts.
3. Warm Whiskers- OMG!!! These things are amazing. They have heatable or freezable inserts in these funny little creatures. They are made for your shoulders, eyes, hands, lower back, and feet. They are so soft and warm of course. I have been wearing my slippers non stop.
4. Fuzzy Nation- This line is crazy. The designer is very detailed and very creative. They are dog purses. The one in the pic above was my fav cause he has some bling in his ear!

Yummy for your tummy.

I made my pals at the Mart a warm little snack that was made from French rolls and homemade ham. The amazing rolls came from Stick Boy Bread Co. in Boone, NC. They were kind enough to give us the bag to bring home. The ham was made by my Nanny. She makes the best ham I have ever had. Beats Honey Baked all day long.

Boone, NC

We decided to take a short and sweet trip for New Year's this year. It was our (Vic and I) first New Year's together:) We joined our pals Roger and Lisa to take a road trip to NC to do a little snow skiing. Lisa and I prefer not to ski, so we tubed then had a girl's day all to ourselves. We had our New Year's traditional dinner at a place called Reid's. I am officially obsessed. The pictures above are from our trip.
Ps. we made a friend along the way.

My better half: The Aspiring Politician..sorta

He loved this excerpt and shared it with me, now I will share it with you.

A listener sent in an email, reminding me of this quote from Dr. Adrian Rogers. Rogers was born in 1931, right before our imperial federal government began its massive FDR induced expansion. In 1996 Rogers wrote "Ten Secrets for a Successful Family." He wrote that "by and large our young people do not know either the importance or the value of honest labor." I think Dr. Rogers got this one right ..... at any rate:

The quote: Here you go:
"You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it."

In researching this quote I noticed some predictable liberal whining; like this one: "So what are the poor supposed to do to survive? Like now, when millions are losing their jobs." So ... government plunder is OK because poor people need to survive.
My research, cursory as it was, let to another quote; this one from Gary North:

"It is true that democracy undermines freedom when voters believe they can live off of others' productivity, when they modify the commandment: 'Thou shalt not steal, except by majority vote.' The politics of plunder is no doubt destructive of both morality and the division of labor."
I just LOVE that quote! "Thou shalt not steal, except by majority vote." That quote should be on the office door of every congressional Democrat; and no small number of Republicans.

Oh Jackie.

My style icon. Jackie Kennedy. She was classy and magnificent if I say so myself. If I had the funds to have someone make my wardrobe, it would mirror hers. That would be a dream come true.

Nature is my pal.

I enjoy hiking and this particular mountain and I go way back. It kicks my rear every time. If you have never visited Kennesaw Mountain in the fall, then you should make plans to do it soon. It is so lovely and perfect right now.

LBG in the house.

Don't lie. You can't live without this bag. I can see it in your eyes. Lucky for you, I know where to get it.

You, Me, and Politics.

I stated before that I was gonna touch on the subject of politics. I personally am not going to share with you because I am still learning myself. My better half has taken it upon himself to teach me..it may be a little one sided but he knows I am smart enough to make my own decisions. He is very strongly opposed to our current president and I hear about it daily. So until he can sit his busy self down to write for you, I thought I would post this photo in his honor. More to come. It should be good.

Go Dawgs.

Both kinds. Go Georgia Bulldogs!! Also, you can see a Cocker Spaniel at the top that I called my son for quite a while. He was my little baby. I loved him dearly. Don't fret, he is with his Dad..well sorta. :) Look at that face. It totally screams "LOVE ME"!

That time of year.

Halloween, punkins, chili, and kiddies in costumes. The perfect time of year. My little ladybug up there is a future Gap model. Keep your eyes peeled. Vic and I were total rockstars: P!nk and Carey Hart..we were a total hit. Last but not least, I LOVE chili. It is so hearty, filling, and warm. You really can't ask for more when it's cold outside, except maybe some apple cider.
